- A mini-koran I bought at the bookseller's row. The whole book is smaller than the palm of my hand. It was meant as a gift for my friend Micah, but I never gave it to him. It felt wrong. It should not function as a souvenir. Maybe there is another way of giving this without engaging in the system of exchange that marks this as a gift? But what is wrong with it as a gift if it is cherished and reciprocated? Maybe it feels wrong because the reciprocation is not what I really want.
