Haider Wady

Haider Wady (b. 1972) is squarely within the circle of young Iraqi sculptors whose career has been cut extremely short because of the second gulf war. Giacometti and Christian iconography figure heavily in his table size bronzes.

The thinness of the figures directly relate to Wady's experience of living between the two deaths of Iraq (the first and second Gulf War)
